Last month Crystal Clear was called to a photo shoot for Redline Magazine. The car was a tuned 335i which is on a yearly plan with us and we were asked to maintain the car throughout the photo shoot to keep it looking as good as possible.

Our yearly plans are built up from a number of treatments and are divided up depending on how often the car is used. So for example, daily drivers are often placed on a monthly detailing plan and weekend drivers are often placed on a bi-monthly or quarterly plans. Each detailing plan is started with a CC Ultimate Correction Detail, which is the most comprehensive treatment we offer and it drastically improves the appearance of the vehicle ready for the year ahead. After 6 months a CC Enhancement Detail is undertaken to remove any contaminants which have stuck to the paintwork in the 6 month period, we apply a light polish and re-protect the paintwork and wheels. The vehicle on the detailing plan receives a number of maintenance washes inbetween these in-depth treatments to keep it looking its best all year round.

After the terrible UK winter, it was decided to reorganize the CC Enhancement Detail on the 335i until the harsh weather was over as this would ensure good photo’s for the magazine article and the best finish for the summer months. So, the week before the photo shoot the car was treated to a CC Enhancement Detail and you can see the stunning results below.

The 335i has been tuned by Thorney Motorsport who claim the car is an E92 M3 killer. Certainly, with an average fuel consumption of 25mpg compared with 18mpg for the M3, this makes it a cheaper and more subtle option for someone looking for awesome power! It does not disappoint – after a passenger ride down the runway at Bruntingthorpe, the 335i produced figures of 0-62 in 5.1 seconds, 0-100 in 12.4 seconds and a top speed of 157.7mph!
